Gaining Money

Money is one of the most important thing for you to survive in the game.

Basically you need money to train, buy equipments and necessary goods to be strong and destructive.

Here are some ways of gaining money in the game:

1. Voting for Samurai of Legend at various RPG toplist

            - You can gain gold and rice by voting to the various RPG toplist

              You can sell this gold and rice to its appropriate price

How: In logging in to the game, you will see on the upper portion a link named “[Vote for Samurai of Legend at various RPG toplists and be rewarded.]” click this link and you will see various RPG sites.

Open every single one of them and receive the indicated price. (Voting is not compulsory, as long as you open the site, you will be rewarded with the indicated rice or gold)

Bunos: Voting successively to the RPG sites per week will be rewarded with rice or gold at the end of the week.

2. Bank Interest

            You can open 3 banks in the game depending on your level.

City Bank

            Terms: At the end of each day, your bank balance will go up by 2%. When your balance exceeds ¥150,000,000 you will no longer gain interest in the city bank.

National Bank (Level 100)

Terms: At the end of each day, your bank balance will go up by 2%. When your balance exceeds ¥2,000,000,000 you will no longer gain interest in this bank

Widrawal Fee: It will cost you 5% of the money you withdraw for taxes. The maximum tax is ¥30,000,000.

National Reserve (Level 300)

Term: At the end of each day, your balance will go up by 2%. When your balance exceeds ¥5,000,000,000 you will no longer gain interest in this bank

Withdrawal Fee: It will cost you 5% of the money you withdraw for taxes. The maximum tax is ¥100,000,000.

REMEMBER: There is a limitation of deposits for each bank for it to still gain interest so make sure to transfer money from one bank to another every end of the day so that the other banks would still gain some interest.

NOTE: Bank Card makes the bank interest raise from 2% to 4%, so make sure to buy one.

3. Bank Investment

            This will allow you to invest money to the bank. You can invest a maximum of 30million yen with the varying value of interest depending to the number of days you will choose.

How: Go to Explore > City Bank> Investment

REMEMBER: Donators have the upper hand on the value of interest than on Non Donators.

4. Mugging

            There are a lot of players who leave there money open. If this happens, attack them and if they got beaten, mug their money.

How to search for this players: Go to Explore > User List > Order by Money > Order by Descending.

Attack only if you think it is possible for you to beat them.

REMEMBER: The amount of money stolen depends on how much money that user has out. (Roughly 1-2% of total amount left out)

           

5. Stealing

            Only Available on Donators

This is a privilege on Donators to steal money on other players with no Theft Protection.

Stealing is only possible if the Player you want to steal with is at level 10 or Higher.

How: Go to his profile by clicking his name> select Rob their Home.

Stealing is tricky and needs time for success, so good luck.

Buy and Steal

Some players buy items on others and instantly steal the money on them. Cruel right, but it’s a way of gaining money. Remember not to leave items on the market if you would go offline.

NOTE: To be protected from stealers, buy a Theft Protection Item on item market or item auction.

6. Ronnin Alley

            How it works

• You can open as many contracts as you like.
• Up to six players can accept the contract. However, only the first to fulfil the contract gets paid.
• You must Hospitalize the hit in order to receive your payment.
• Ronin agents can only accept 3 contracts at a time. They must be on different players.
• You cannot open more than one contract on the same player.
• Up to 2 contracts can be open on a player by different parties at a time.
• Hits are only paid if the mark is online within the specified activity requirement.
• Contracts are canceled 48 hours after the first Ronin accepts if they are not fulfilled.
• Contracts above ¥1,000,000 can increase hospital time.

How to Access: Go to Explore > Ronnin Alley > Select Contract and Accept

Remember: You will receive the indicated reward if you are the first one to defeat the marked player.

7. Wheel of Destiny and other various games

            There are a lot of gambling games on the SOL but I highly recommend spinning the Wheel of Destiny (WoD)

In spinning the WoD, you will gain Gold, Rice and other items that can be sold in the market.

8. Grab Bags

Maximum Grab Bags to Open per Day: 2000

Grab bags can be bought in the Grab Bag Center

How to Access the Center: Go to Explore > Grab Bag Center (Mid, Low)

            *Maximum input is 8000 at 5000 yen each

            *You can buy as many as 1billion grab bags XD, depending on how many you want.

Benefits in Opening Grab Bags:

 You can obtain Gun Powder Explosives (GPEs 2mil-2.5mil each) good for blowing someone also sellable on market or auction and Power Gym Admittance Scroll (PGAS 20mil-25mil each) which you can use in training or sell it on item market or item auction.

You can also obtain various collectibles that you can sell in grab bags (e.g. Dragon Sculpture, Old Tattered Books, etc.).

NOTE: You can buy a Grab bag Opener which is a special item either on item market or in item auction. This will make your work much faster.

GBO ~ Grab Bag Opener
A donator item used to open 2000 grab bags per day with ease. Click activate in inventory to use. Can be purchased for $5 or bought in game from the market/auction/trade.

 

9. Bank Robbery

A very tricky way of gaining money, make sure that you know what you are doing. There are a lot of players who failed on this activity, but, if you do succeed, great amount of money would be yours.

10. Mining

Requirements:

            Mining Boots

            Mining Helmet

            Mining Lantern

            Mining Pick

Mine at various caves in different lands.

Each mine has its level requirement, so make sure you comply to it.

Benefits:

*You will receive gold flakes in every successful mining you get.

This gold flakes will be used in making gold (2 gold flakes = 1 gold)

*If you are lucky you can receive various gems used in forging items and has a high value in market.

REMEMBER: In your stats-

            Labour ~ Your ability to mine better

IQ ~ Your ability to pull off crimes and to mine better

 

11.  Rice Growing

            Be a good farmer and plant some rice.

            Depending on your level, you can lease land that can be used in planting.

            Each land can hold up to 40 bushels of rice.

Make sure to attend your land daily, or on the expected working period.

You can sell this rice on the rice market.

12. Crimes

There are a lot of crime to choose from, but I would suggest to do the STEAL RICE scheme. Each successful attempt would reward you 3 bushel of rice which is very useful in training or trading.

           

13. Commodity Trading

            A very tricky money making business.

How it Works

As always if a commodity hits ¥20 it will be closed to new purchases. If it hits ¥15 you will lose 10% of your holdings. If it drops to ¥10 you will lose 25% of your holdings. At ¥5 you will have lost 50% and any commodity that reaches ¥0 will leave you with nothing.

            You have to analyze well what would be the outcome of each item on the list. You can buy a limited amount of commodity depending on your level. Every 5 minutes, there will be a change on the sell value of each item. Depending on the outcome, you can buy and sell every item if you see you would profit from it.

14. Selling Rice, Gold, Equipment and Donator’s Good

            Every rice or gold you get from the activities you have done, you can sell it on the market. Rice bushels would approximately cost around ¥70,000-¥90,000.

Gold would approximately cost around ¥160,000-¥190000

            At higher level, you can purchase weapons or armors on shops or on market and resell them with interest depending on how much you want to earn from it.

REMEMBER: Any purchased PGAS, rice or gold from the market can’t be resell, it will automatically go as your personal PGAS, rice or gold.

Buying Donator Items or Special Items (see below for more information on Donator items)

You can either donate to gain such items or you can buy it on the market or auction and resell it.

Donator items may cost 500million – 1.5 billion each, look for similar item and see their price before selling your donator goods to be guided.

15. RR/RPS ~ Russian Roulette/Rock,Paper,Sharp Katana

RR or Russian Roulette is gambling game of chance. You can challenge another player to a game by inserting their I.D. and placing a bet. The person will play it and you may lose, you may win. It is a 50/50 chance. You can also receive challenges. RR is found under the Dark Side column on the explore page.

            RPS is the samurai version on rock, paper, scissors. For RPS, you insert the I.D. of the person you would like to challenge, your bet, and your play(rock, paper, or the sharp katana) The rules are simple: Rock Beats Sharp Katana, Sharp Katana Beats Paper, Paper Beats Rock. You can also receive challenges. RPS is found under the Games
column on the explore page.

16. Sig and GFX Creation

            You can sell signatures and profile pictures in the in-game forum under GFX forum.

            Making transactions with this type of business is serious and rules must be followed.

            If you are really good at photo editing, then, this is the right job for you.

            Profile pic with sig, etc. can at least cost 1.2 – 1.5 billion yen.

17. Clan Rewards and Gifts

            You can also earn money by joining some clan that are very active on events and gifts. Read the description of each clan and you will know if they have some events that gives rewards to players.

            Some clan gives rewards to player that reaches a certain level, others by forest logging or clan contest.

            Don’t forget to join a clan, because this will be your companions in your daily activities.

Building Your Character

Power Training

Stats ~ Battle Statistics

You must build your stats in order to beat other players.

Every Samurai/Character on the game has what we call stats.

It is composed of the following:

1: Strength ~ Your ability to deliver more damage
2: Agility ~ Your ability to dodge hits from opposition
3: Guard ~ Limits the damage when being hit
4: Labour ~ Your ability to mine better
5: IQ ~ Your ability to pull off crimes and to mine better


Remember that;

            Being strong is useless if you cannot hit the enemy

            Being agile is useless if you can only inflict very small damage

            Being Strong and Agile is useless if the enemy can kill you in just one blow

…So build your character well

Ways of Increasing Your Statistics

GYM TRAINING

Requirements:

            100% Energy

            100%++ Will

            PGAS if available

            Gold and Rice

You can train in gyms to increase your stats. Make sure to have ample amount of gold for energy refills and rice for will bar refill

POWER GYM TRAINING

            This can be done in the Power Gym using your PGAS
PGAS ~ Power Gym Admittance Scroll
Allows user to train in the power gym (under Mysterious column in explore page) 4 times more than in the normal gym.

IMPORTANT REMINDER:

The affectivity of gym training will solely depend on the will value that a character has. The larger the will value, the more result you will gain from training.

How to increase the will bar?

            Simply upgrade or buy a new state.

            You can only buy certain state if you had attained its minimum level requirement

One way of increasing the output per training is by maximizing the will value to more than 100% but not greater than 505%

You must do this with speed and precision for the reason that every 5 minutes in the Game time, there will be an automatic reset (will bar value, energy value, etc.)

Soo, at 10:00, 10:05, 10:10 etc. the reset will occur

  

  What will happen during the reset?

            * When your will bar is greater than 100% (e.g. 301% or 405%), it will return to 100%

            * When your brave bar is greater than 100% (e.g. 301% or 405%), it will return to 100%

                *But this doesn’t mean that if your will bar is lesser than 100% it will return to 100%

You can increase your will bar or brave bar by going to the rice patties (consumes rice).

How: Go to Explore > Select In the Rice Patties

Another important thing on this game are weapons and armors.

The weapons and armors doesn’t have the description on how much stats it can give to the welder of the item, but one thing is for sure,

 “The higher the cost the better the item.”

A Samurai/player can only hold the following;

            1 Primary Weapon

            1 Secondary Weapon

            1 Armor

It is very important that you put the best weapon in the Primary weapon for this is used when you are attacked by someone.

Put in the secondary weapons that have special stat boost (e.g. +15% agi, +10% str, etc.)

SOL Term Guide

EXP/XP ~ Experience Points
EXP or XP is earned by beating somebody in battle. You can attack somebody by going to their profile and clicking [Attack] After you defeat the selected person in battle, you will have 3 options:

1: Mug Them-steal some money
2: Hospitalize Them-increase time
3: Leave Them-Get Experience

Fed ~ Federal Jail
Most players refer to the Federal Jail as Fed. If you break any of the SOL game rules, you will be jailed by the staff for any amount of time, typically around 300 days. While in fed, most of privileges are taken away as well as most of your abilities. The only way to get out of fed is for you to appeal to the staff person who jailed you. You may get 1-2 warnings but after that, you can not leave.

Cow ~ (Character of Weak Stats)
In SOL, a cow is not an animal. It is a well known xp target, typically a high leveled player with low stats. This results in lots of experience points and fast leveling up. Other players tend to steal kills on these targets the most.

SPECIAL ITEMS

This are items that can be receive when donating to SOL. This can be sold at a higher price on item markets and item auctions. These are as follows;

INVISIBILITY SCROLL

Upon use, you will become invisible for a period of 60 minutes. You will appear offline, however, the consequences of your actions will be visible. For example, if you attack someone, it will show up in their events. If you mail someone, they will know you are there. Or if you post in the forums, your name will still appear. But you may enjoy a bit of peace and quiet should you choose.

AUTO WOD SPINNER

When used, this allows the user to auto-spin up to 6000 spins in an automated fashion (no more than 100 per day). In addition, you have the option of stopping at hospital, jail, and NPCs. To stop at the NPCs you must stop at jail/hospital or you would not be able to attack them. If you have questions, ask before ordering.

WEAPON RENAME SCROLL

This scroll allows the bearer to rename 1 Weapon. New names must be approved by the staff. Furthermore, these weapons cannot be sent, sold, or traded to other players. They can only be sold back to the game. Users can only have 2 Custom-name weapons at a time. Visit the Workshop for more information.
