Gaining Resources

Resources is one of the most important thing for you to survive in the game.
Basically you need resources to build and upgrade buildings and technologies to be strong and destructive, you also need it for ship and defense production

There maybe a lot of ways of obtaining these resources, these are some of the ways as enumerated;

1. Building Mines – Metal Mine, Crystal Mine, Deuterium Synthesizer

Metal Mine
Metal is the primary resource used in the foundation of your Empire. At greater depths, the mines can produce more output of viable metal for use in the construction of buildings, ships, defense systems, and research. As the mines drill deeper, more energy is required for maximum production. As metal is the most abundant of all resources available, its value is considered to be the lowest of all resources for trading.

Analysis: Based on the given data, there is an increase of 13.++% of production per Mine level increase.
Equation: Current Level x 13.xx% = Next Level
Important Reminder: The given analysis and equation is only based on the given data above, this will only be a theory on the increase on production per mine level upgrade.

Crystal Mine
Crystals are the main resource used to build electronic circuits for computers and other electronic circuits and form certain alloy compounds for shields. Compared to the metal production process, the processing of raw crystalline structures into industrial crystals requires special processing. As such, more energy is required to process the raw crystal than needed for metal. Development of ships and buildings, and specialized research upgrades, require a certain quantity of crystals.

Analysis: Based on the given table there is a decreasing percent of increase on the amount of production per mine level upgrade.

Deuterium Synthesizer
Deuterium is also called heavy hydrogen. It is a stable isotope of hydrogen with a natural abundance in the oceans of colonies of approximately one atom in 6500 of hydrogen (~154 PPM). Deuterium thus accounts for approximately 0.015% (on a weight basis, 0.030%) of all. Deuterium is processed by special synthesizers which can separate the water from the Deuterium using specially designed centrifuges. The upgrade of the synthesizer allows for increasing the amount of Deuterium deposits processed. Deuterium is used when carrying out sensor phalanx scans, viewing galaxies, as fuel for ships, and performing specialized research upgrades.

2. Recycling
            Requirement:
                                    Ships: Recyclers

Recycler
Recyclers are the only ships able to harvest debris fields floating in a planets orbit after combat.
Resources Needed : Metal: 10.000 Crystal: 5.000 Deuterium: 1.500
As space battles became larger and fiercer, the resultant debris fields became too large to gather safely by conventional means. Normal transporters could not get close enough without receiving substantial damage. A solution was developed to this problem. The Recycler.
Thanks to the new shields and specially built equipment to gather wreckage, gathering debris no longer presented a danger. Each Recycler can gather 20,000 units of debris.

Recycling is a way of gaining resources by collecting the floating debris as a result of battle.
You may do this by scouting the galaxies and looking for large amount of debris floating around and sending recyclers to the galaxy where the debris are floating.

3. Raiding/Attacking
Another way of gaining resources is through attacking planets.
You may use variety of ships that is suitable for attacking other players. Make sure to espionage the prospect planet to destroy before and after the hit to avoid a ninja attack.

4. Alliance Support
At a beginner’s state, you can ask for supplies in the alliance you are in. Some players are kind to lend you something to start with, so don’t hesitate to ask.

5. Trading
There are instances that there would be excess in metal, crystals or deuterium that you definitely don’t need, you can trade them to other players.
Trading has some rules, so better read it to avoid consequences.

RAIDING

Raiding is the act of attacking other planets for resources.
LEGEND
Strong Player                                             s
Weaker Player (newbie)                            n
Vacation Mode                                          v
Banned                                                       b
7 Days Inactive                                          i
28 Days Inactive                                        I
Admin                                                       A

Requirements for Raiding:
1.      Battle ships (fast travelling ships are mostly recommended for quick attacks)
2.      Espionage ships with High Espionage Technology
3.      Recyclers (Optional)
4.      Cargo Ships
5.      Deuterium (Fuel for your ships)

A. THINGS TO DO BEFORE ATTACKING

A1. Espionage

With good espionage technology, you can detect the defense build, structure build, and the number of ships on deck if any.
On the other hand, if you don’t have a good level of espionage technology you can ask a high ranked player from your alliance to espionage your target planet.

Or use the Kamikaze Technique- this is to attack a planet with your espionage ship.
Surely, the attack report would show the defense build and the ships on deck if any.

            A2. Planning the Attack

With the espionage report on your good hand, your attack must be strategically done for a successful raiding.

            Problems to Encounter:
1.      Defense- Use some Interplanetary Missile (IM) to destroy it or defense destroying ships.

A3. Simulation

Don’t rush, simulate the attack outcome for you to see the percentage of success. Do some ship mixing and see if the attack is beneficial to you or not.
Analyze and Act….

A4. Recycling

Recyclers Takes time to reach a certain destination, so you can send your recyclers first then estimate the time of attack… If it hits the estimated attack land, then send the attack.

REMEMBER: Your prize for a successful raid are as follows;
·         50% of each defender’s resources for every attack (50% metal, 50% crystal and 50% deuterium)
·         Floating Metal and Crystal Debris on the attacked planet

Things to Consider for an effective Raid

A. WHAT TYPE OF PLAYER ARE YOU PLANNING TO RAID
1.      Raiding Inactive Players (i) (I)
These are players with the tag (i) or (I), symbolizing that they are inactive.
They might be inactive but it doesn’t mean that they don’t have any good defense so don’t rush yourself on attacking without thinking to avoid unnecessary damages.

For players with no defense, use some cargo ships in attacking or 1 elite cargo ship.
For players with defenses, mix some battle ships with your cargo ships and simulate. You can also use the strategy given above.
Make sure to raid planets with ample amount of resources.

2.      Raiding Active Players

They say it is more fun to raid active players mainly because it is challenging and sometimes needs some time to hit a good SUCCESS.
Just be careful, a lot of things can happen during your attack.

It is difficult to know if the player is online or offline, that is why cowards send some spies on other allies just to know the status of the pursued victim.

Make sure to do the things suggested in the above discussion to be successful.
One thing to remember, Espionage the planet on and seconds before the attack hits because a good ninja can cause serious damage or even annihilation of your precious fleet.

Remember that ships has there weakness and advantages on other ships, so make sure to carry the right ships for attacking.

B. WHAT APPROPRIATE SHIPS SHOULD BE USED IN RAIDING

B1. Depending on the enemy fleet, you should consider the weakness and advantages of ship to another ship.

Example:

Battlecruiser

Rapid Fire Against Large Cargo Ship 3
Rapid Fire Against Heavy Fighter 4
Rapid Fire Against Cruiser 4
Rapid Fire Against Battleship 7

Rapid Fire Against Solar Satellite 5
Rapid Fire Against Lunar Guardian 4
Rapid Fire Against Elite Cargo 5

Rapid Fire From Destroyer 2
Rapid Fire From Death Star 15

Shield Strength
400
Attack Points
700

From this data, we can say that this ship is strong against Lunar Guardian (LG) but weak against Destroyer.

Lunar Guardian (LG)

Rapid Fire Against Espionage Ship 600
Rapid Fire Against Solar Satellite 150
Rapid Fire Against Death Star 10
Rapid Fire From Light Fighter 6
Rapid Fire From Destroyer 4
Rapid Fire From Battlecruiser 4
Rapid Fire From Plasma Cannon 4

Shield Strength
700
Attack Points
2.000

On the other hand, Lunar Guardians are strong against Death Star but weak against Battlecruisers.

B2. Another way is believing on the saying “ONE IS USELESS AGAINST A BATTALION!”
Send an oversized fleet and destroy…

COLONIZING

Requirement:
            Colony Ship

·         Slots 4-9 generally have more fields.
·         You can have a maximum of 11 planets
·         Hotter planet gives more energy from solar satellites but gives less deuterium.
·         Colder planet gives more deuterium but less energy from solar satellites.

Creating colonies is very useful to your gameplay because:
1.      1. You can construct mines that can add to your resources.
2.      2. It will widen your attack range
3.      3. Your hiding spot would also be widened
4.      4. Far Colonies can effectively be used in Fleet Saving

Some Important Tips in Creating Colonies
   A.     Create colonies near to planets that is a good farm (Inactive Planets with high level of mines).
This will surely help you in doing upgrades.
Good farm means good source of metal, crystals and deuterium.

  B.     Create a colony that can be used for your Fleet saving (FS).
Make sure to have a moon for an effective FS.

  C.     1. Create Colonies in each galaxy
This will widen your area to search for resources.
This will also avoid other players to detect all your planets instantly.

Or

  2. Create Colonies near to your main planet
Transferring resources would be easy if your planet is near each other.
You can easily transfer your fleet from one planet to another in case of attack.

STEPS IN COLONIZING
1.      Search for a good spot to build your colony and remember its coordinates.
2.      Go to Fleet Tab
3.      In the fleet tab, you will see your ships including the colony ship. Type 1 to the side of the name of the ship, this will indicate the number of ships you want to send.
You can also include cargo ships to carry deuterium if the target galaxy is very far to the main planet.
4.      Choose Target by inputting the desired coordinates and select continue.
5.      Wait for minutes or hours and see your magnificent planet be in that place.

ACS ATTACKS
In Courtesy to Zorg Admin

ACS Attack stands for Alliance Combat System. With ACS attack, it is possible that many players unite against a target.

ACS Details:
  • ACS depot level of the CREATOR will define the maximum number of attackers. The maximum number allowed will be the same with the level of the depot (ie: Lvl 9 depot will allow up to 9 attackers). The ACS depot of the creator must be on planet. No other limits apply.
  • An ACS depot of at least level 2 will be required by anyone to join.
  • Any player will be able to set up an ACS attack. You need to be in an alliance in order to create an attack. (Although there are cases to bypass this; such as being booted from an alliance, you can still use the feature although if you are not in one. There are more. Such cases are neither considered a bug nor an exploit.)
  • All alliance members are invited by default. Players not in the alliance will need to be separately invited. Invitation will be able to take place any time after the initial setup. Only the creator will be able to invite players.
  • The limit of attackers will not limit the number of invitations. Unlimited invitations may be sent but once the limit is met, no other attackers will be able to join.
  • Different WSA for each attacker.
  • Only creator will be able to set fleet speed. The rest will get their ship speed automatically adjusted to match the attack time.
  • Recalls are personal, they do not affect the ACS attack as a whole. However, if the creator recalls, no one else will be able to join. The rest will continue normally.
  • Each ACS attack uses 1 fleet slots.
  • Resources earned will be equally shared among the remaining attackers. If an attacker does not have enough space for resources, these resources will remain to the defender and will not be added to another attacker.
  • Messages will be automatically sent for important actions such as:
-Circular message when a new ACS attack is created
-Message when an invitation is received

Usage Details
  • Creator and his allies can access the currently alliance ACS attacks through their alliance screen.
  • Invited players can initially join only through the invitation link in the message inbox.
  • All participants (creator and players that already sent a fleet) can navigate to Fleet page, locate the specific ACS attack mission they want and click on ACS Details.
  • Any participant, creator, his allies and invited players, can view the current attacking fleets.

    Combat Details:
  • Attacking fleets shoot one after another, starting from the left.
  • Each attacker is sorted by join time (fleet start time). At the left is the one who created the attack, at the right is the one who joins last.
  • All the rest like in normal battles

MOON CREATION

Terms and Definition:

1.      Moonshot – is the act of destroying ones fleet to a certain planet for a possibility of moon creation.
2.      Debris Field- It is the combination of metals and crystals floating around a planet as a product of destroyed ships and defenses from an attack.

Moons are created when a large Debris Field (DF) is made outside the planet each time it is attacked.
There is only a possibility of 0-19% of getting a moon in every attempt of moonshot or attack.

REMEMBER: One this is sure about moon creation, larger amount of DF around the planet the larger the percentage of creating a moon but the outcome on how large the diameter of the moon is not directly related to the amount of DF is on the planet. Having a moon with a very large diameter is a game of chance.

 Example:
If there was 400k metal and 100k crystal in a DF than there would be a 5% chance of getting a moon.
If there was 1 million metal and 800k crystal in a DF there would be an 18% chance of obtaining the moon.
Any DF larger than 1.9 million resources still has only 19% chance of getting a moon.

USES OF MOONS

* Phalanx Sensor and Jumpgates are only possible on moons.

* Attacking from your moon would be undetectable by sensors.
* Moons are also needed for a safe Fleet Saving

FLEETSAVING (FS)

* It is an act of sending ones fleet to a mission in certain amount of time to avoid fleet destruction.

Clash can be avoided at many ways, so, if you see that someone is on the way of attacking your planet, you can message that person because he might not know that you are online. If it doesn’t work then do the FS.

There are many ways to fleetsave, these are as follows;

1. Moon to Moon      or      Moon to Planet  -Defend mission at 0 hour
This type of FS would be safe for the reason that it wouldn’t be detected by sensors.
You can send your fleet to a mission on your other moon so it will remain floating when you are around.
This may cost some deuterium but it is better than leaving your fleet on the ground unattended.

2. FS through Recycling Mission
Only possible if someone is attacking you and you need to dispatch your fleet right away.
This would require that your fleet had some recyclers with it.

3. Planet to Moon   or    Moon to Planet Deployment
When someone is attacking you, you can either deploy your fleet from your moon to your planet or vice versa. This will avoid possible clash.

REMEMBER:

Fleetsaving is a tricky task and needs calculation.
In doing a mission, you can choose from the menu the desired amount of time it takes for it to reach the desired planet.
Remember that the amount of time it takes for your fleet to reach the 2nd planet or moon would be the same amount of time it will take for your fleet to come back from the 2nd planet or moon to your main planet’s moon.

Example:
You had sent your fleet to FS on your other moon for 12 hours, so this means that it will also return from that moon to your planet in 12 hours. All in all, it will take 24 hours for your fleet to return back from its point of origin.

Moon Destruction (Popping a Moon)

Moons can be destroyed by Deathstars. The diameter of your moon determines how hard it is to pop your moon, the larger the diameter the harder it is to pop and the more Deathstars it will take.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
From Zorg Empire Forum
1.  am totally clueless. What do I do ?
-Follow the quick start guide. Click on HELP link, at the left hand menu. Then click on Starting Guide.
2. How can I protect myself from stronger players ?
-You need to learn how to fleet save. This is a common method used by all experienced players in a lot of different ways.Practically, you send your whole fleet with all your resources on a far away target for as long as you are going to be away. Make sure to use vacation mode if you are going to be away for more than 3 days.
3. Why can I not build many different spaceship types ?
-There are many things to build but all have requirements. See an overview of all by clicking on TECHNOLOGIES link in Empire Menu.
4. Can I own more than 1 planet ?
-Yes, you can own up to 11 Planets.
5. How do I inhabit a new planet ?
-You need to build a colony ship. Click on Technologies to find out how.
6. How can I build Lunar Base ; Sensor Phalanx ; Jump Gate?
-You need a moon.

7. How can I get a moon?
-You need a battle to take place on your planet. After the battle there is chance of getting a moon. 19% is the highest possible chance and the highest diameter you can get is 9900. Debris field generated is one way of calculating the moon chance. 19% moon chance needs around 2m debris. (metal+crystal). You can also purchase moons with rubies through Plus page.
8. I found a bug/glitch, what do I do now ?
-Report it to forums, it is illegal to take advantage of bugs.
9. Where I can find details for buildings, units etc?
-Just click on the name.
10. Is there any kind of protection for new players ?
-Yes. The protection intends to protect new players till they learn the very basics. However you really need to learn how to fleet save as fast as possible.
11. Can you give me details for Player Protection Rules ?
-As long as you & your target are below 10 000 points, you can attack players up to 5 times your points or down to 1/5 (your points / 5) of your points. Once you & your target both have above 10 000 points, no protection rules take place.
-Players that have not logged in for more than 48hours lose protection.
-Banned Players do not have protection. (Not even bashing rule for them)
12. I loaded resources in a colony ship but they did not appear in the new planet!
-Colony ships literally convert to the new colony, effectively destroying the ship. They consume any resources you put on them. The cargo space exists so they can carry their own fuel.
13. What is rapid fire?
-In a general meaning, it represents the average number of extra shots the firing ship can make against given target. The higher it is, the better this ship performs against this specific target.
14. Why my rank is 2001 / no rank ?
Please allow some time before your actual rank is calculated by the engine.
15. Where can I find more detailed help ?
-You can find lots of help and details in Zorg Empire Forums.
16. I referred a friend but he does not show up! What can I do?
-Make sure he used your referral link. Also, take note that signups from same network, do not count in order to prevent cheating.
17. I want to help Zorg Empire! How?
-Be an active person in forums and refer new players! Check announcements in forums for possible open positions for moderators.
